Last updated 04/11/2026. This policy explains how jordanmotors-leicester.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR: non-essential cookies are set only with your consent.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences and help the site owner understand how the site is used. Some are essential to the site working; others are optional.
How we categorise cookies
| Category | Purpose | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Make the site work — remembering your cookie choices, keeping the site secure and loading pages. The site cannot function properly without these. | No (strictly necessary) |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, how people arrive — in aggregated, pseudonymised form, so we can improve our content. | Yes |
| Marketing | Would measure the performance of referral and campaign links. We keep these to a minimum and set them only where you have consented. | Yes |
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Essential | Remembers your cookie preferences so we do not ask again. | 12 months |
| session | Essential | Maintains a secure browsing session. | Session |
| _ga / _ga_* | Analytics | Set by our analytics provider to distinguish users and measure usage. | Up to 24 months |
Third parties
Our analytics cookies are set by a third-party analytics provider that processes usage data on our behalf. That provider has its own privacy terms. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to track you across other sites through this site.
Managing and withdrawing consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which will bring the banner back on your next visit. You can also control cookies directly in your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before one is set. The help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
