Shop Local – Our Festive Round Up
This year more than ever, it’s so important to support our local independent retailers and businesses. Shop Local is a growing national campaign that encourages shoppers to buy locally. Not only does this help our fellow small businesses, but it also gives a much-needed boost to our local economy. So, as Christmas is just around the corner, we’re urging everyone to buy from local shops and makers.
When you’re looking for festive gifts, why not check out local, virtual Christmas markets on Facebook? And if a business has temporarily closed due to coronavirus restrictions, then why not see if you can buy a gift voucher for your family or friends? Every bit helps to support and sustain our local economy.
Thank you for your support
At Jordan Motors, we’re doing everything we can to support our local community. So, in this year’s special festive round up, we wanted to share our gratitude with our customers and business friends. As a family business, we have been personally affected by COVID-19, having lost a loved one earlier this year. Therefore, we would like to extend our warm and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us during 2020.
Despite it feeling as if the world is falling apart around us, Santa will be coming to Narborough this year. We aim to bring a bit of festive cheer to children within our local community, although we will need to avoid any contact. So, we would kindly ask that you keep your children inside looking through the window or standing no further than the end of your front garden. As we cannot bring collection boxes, we will be virtually collecting for LOROS this year. Sadly, we will have to forgo present giving this year too, as Santa is very old and too precious for us to risk him catching anything! Please keep an eye on the Santa Visits Narborough Facebook page for updates.
South Leicester Food Bank
Hundreds of families are facing hardship this Christmas. So, we decided to help by becoming a collection point for the Leicester South Foodbank. If you have any unwanted, non-perishable food items, please drop these into our reception area. Every item will help to feed struggling families in our local community this winter.
What else we’ve been doing during 2020
We’ve also been busy helping our customers by collecting and delivering cars and vans from home or work addresses. As a thank you for all their hard work, we’re still offering NHS workers 10% off our services too. Due to the crisis, we’ve had to take stringent measures to make sure your vehicles are repaired and serviced in a safe manner. Every vehicle is disinfected ready for your use and this includes our rental vehicles too (see our blog, COVID-19: Supporting You & Your Business).
Thinking ahead for 2021 and Servicesure
We appreciate these are hard times for many people, so we will continue to do whatever we can to support our local community. One way we can help is by helping you with the costs of your repairs. As a Servicesure Appointed Centre, we can offer you an interest free finance option on your car repair costs (T&Cs apply), as well as a national warranty on all car parts fitted by us. For your peace of mind, Servicesure Autocentres are signed up to the Customer Service Charter and The Motor Ombudsman, a government-backed, self-regulatory body for the motor industry.
We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy and joyous New Year!
